Incredible hikes in Saskatchewan's prairie park, Grasslands
In Saskatchewan’s Grasslands National Park, hikers will find rugged routes and temperate trails. It’s wise to bring a compass and map and—most importantly—know how to use both with ease. 70 Mile Butte
Length: 4.1 km loop
Time: 2 hours
The 70 Mile Butte Trail is one of the park’s more popular climbs. This difficult but worthwhile hike takes visitors to one of the highest peaks in the area. Hikers can enjoy breathtaking views of the never-ending prairies along with wildlife sightings.

Zahurski Point Route
Length: 11 km loop
Whether you want to hike up for views of the wide reaching badlands or cut deep through the bottom of the valley, this route shows off the beauty of the prairies either way.

Two Trees Trail
Length: 4 km loop
This trail takes hikers through beautiful some of Saskatchewan’s beautiful rolling hills. With views of the incredible Frenchman River Valley below, there’s no wrong way on this loop.

Rim Walk Trail
Length: 2.5 km loop
This family friendly loop is located conveniently close to the Rock Creek Day Use Site. The Rim Walk Trail will take you along the rim of the sweeping valley. The views of fire-red buttes are incredible.
