Glide through the sky on the Primal Swing, which flings you 45 metres (150 feet) through the Nanaimo River canyon at a blistering 140km/hour. If you’re looking for a less-intense activity, take a zipline tour of the park or try your hand at axe throwing.

   

West Coast Trail

Pacific Rim National Park Reserve, British Columbia  

You’ll never want to go back to the city after hiking this trail. When hiking the West Coast Trail, you’ll come across ladders to climb, large rocks to bypass, deep waters to trudge through and forests to wander in. This trail spans 75 kilometres and has a total elevation gain of 1,508 metres. While it’s a different type of thrill from the rest of this list, the West Coast Trail is certain to supply you with a rush of adrenaline.

    

Whistler Bungee

Whistler, British Columbia

Jump over the Cheakamus River with Whistler Bungee! You’ll start by hovering over the river on the bridge, before diving off and letting the chill from the glacier-fed water spray splash below you. You’ll need to book your jump in advance (which can be done here), so keep this in mind especially during the busy summer months. Jump during the snowy winter for an especially unique experience!

   

Grouse Mountain Zipline Tours

Grouse Mountain, British Columbia

Spend two hours exploring the treetops of Grouse and Dam Mountain via zipline. Pipe Mountain Coaster

While the Pipe Mountain Coaster won’t twist your insides like the traditional upside-down loop-de-loop rollercoaster, you’re certain to enjoy the stunning views that Revelstoke has to offer. There are two tracks that you can take, both of which are 1.4 kilometres long. You can also control your own speed, with the maximum being 42km/hour. Blitz your way through the track or take it slow with your family—either way, the mountain coaster is bound to be a fun time for all.

   

Heart Creek Canyon Tour

Banff, Alberta

Learn how to rappel and explore Banff’s Heart Creek Canyon. You’ll scramble, hike and rappel before taking an optional 18-metre (60-foot) wet waterfall rappel and slide. While you don’t need any rappelling experience to join, it’s recommended that guests are comfortable with heights.

    

Downhill Karting by Skyline

Calgary, Alberta

You don’t need a driver’s license to put your speed to the test on this track. Downhill Karting by Skyline takes you down 1,800 metres of track with over 50 twists and turns. Start by heading up the chairlift to the top of the track, then put your helmet on and maneuver your way down the track. The total descent is over 100 metres, so be sure to tie your hair back!

   

Tatshenshini Expediting

Whitehorse, Yukon

With Tatshenshini Expediting, your canoe or raft journey can last as long as you need it to. Take an 11-day trip from Tatshenshini to the Alsek River and admire the largest non-polar ice field in the world. If you’re looking for a shorter excursion, sign up for an Upper Tatshenshini Rafting day trip—wetsuits, paddling gear, lunch and a bus shuttle are provided. Parachute Montreal

Make the jump and visit Parachute Montreal for skydiving in Quebec. You can choose three different options for your jump. Jumping at 2,740 metres (9,000 feet) gives you 20 seconds of free fall before your instructor deploys your parachute. If you jump at 4,110 metres (13,500 feet), you’ll free fall for an entire minute before your parachute is deployed. The most extreme option, jumping at 5,485 metres (18,000 feet), gives you one minute and 20 seconds of free fall time before you settle under the canopy of your parachute.

    

Mount Musgrave ATV Tours
