3 rules for whitewater paddling



Follow these 3 rules to ensure safety while whitewater paddling

1. Don’t give the current anything to grab. Lean downstream when crossing current to keep your upstream edge high and dry.

2. Your head should (must) be the last thing to leave the water when rolling a boat upright.

3. When you swim, stay upriver of your boat and keep your feet high and away from the river bottom.
