Why are we giving this away for free?

In Spring 1981, the first issue of Explore Magazine went up for sale on newsstands around Canada.

Forty years later and not only is Explore still available on newsstands around Canada, but you can even find Explore in certain parts of the United States.

We think this is a pretty awesome reason to celebrate.

So to celebrate 40 years serving Canadian outdoor enthusiasts, David Webb (Explore’s Editor) hand selected what he considers to be the 35 best hikes in Canada.
