A canoe on the Canadian flag – not a bad idea
I was a tad ahead of myself a couple weeks ago when I announced that the new BBC Ray Mears “Northern Wilderness” special was on TV. It was, but only in the UK. It will be available on BBC Canada in a month or two, and it’s also available to order on Ray Mear’s web site www.raymears.com. But for now, check out samples of the episodes on Canada and our great explorers on YouTube. Yep, never thought to check YouTube until late last night; and there I was chatting away with Ray Mears on the French River about why we should have a canoe on the Canadian flag rather then a maple leaf.
