Ghazal Azizi

Ghazal Azizi is an early-career journalist, who got her start at McGill University's weekly student-run publication The Tribune. She is finishing her BA in Philosophy, Political Science, and Communications at McGill and is currently the President of TVM Television, a film production club on campus. While her name translates to "gazelle," her favourite animal is orcas and she often has to restrain her inner orca-wanna-be when she's near bodies of water for safety reasons. She grew up in Tehran, Iran but spent her teenage years in Vancouver, BC. Ghazal's passionate about multimedia storytelling and as the 2024 Editorial Intern at explore, she hopes to inspire more people to wander/wonder past city boundaries, especially in Montreal where she is currently based.
