Taylor Maavara

Taylor Maavara is an environmental scientist who researches how humans change rivers. Originally from Toronto, she's lived across Canada and the US and is now based in northern England. She has a PhD from the University of Waterloo and has worked for Berkeley National Laboratory, Yale University and the University of Leeds. Her love of climbing, skiing and canoeing have taken her on expeditions to cold, remote places around the world. When she isn't in the backcountry, she's hanging out with her cat Juniper, reading sci fi and eating too much candy. IG: @tmaav.
