Two individual winners will be chosen! Winners select the trip, subject to availability and the below terms:
1. The Sweepstakes Period
a. The Sweepstakes (or “Contest”) entry period commences June 1, 2025 and concludes at 11:59 PM on December 31, 2026.
b. Hosted by Explore Outdoor Media Inc, (known as Explore, Explore Magazine, explore-mag.com, EOM or EOMI) representing Black Feather (known as “The Client”) in Canada and it is subject to the following general rules and regulations.
2. Eligibility
a. The Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of Canada, who, as at the start of the Sweepstakes Period, have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. Employees of EOMI, The Client and any of its subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising, promotion or any other agencies or entities involved with this Promotion, and members of their immediate families are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes or win any prize.
3. How to participate
a. Subscribe to OR begin a free trial of ExploreNOW (paid) between June 1, 2026 and Dec 31, 2026. Existing subscriptions, renewals, auto-renewals and new subscriptions are all valid entries.
b. No purchase is necessary to enter. To enter without purchase, mail a letter with your NAME, ADDRESS, EMAIL ADDRESS and PHONE NUMBER TO: Explore Magazine Black Feather Sweepstakes; 1121 Sanford St; Winnipeg, MB; R3E 3A1. Please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope as well, to secure eligibility.
c. Only one (1) entry per person during the Sweepstakes Period is permitted. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these official Sweepstakes Rules and any other applicable terms of use from the Sweepstakes Sponsors.
d. Your Subscription or purchase-free entry will be as follows, and will be known as your Initial Entry. One Initial Entry is permitted:
• ExploreNOW Monthly subscription = 1 entry/month subscribed
• ExploreNOW Annual Subscription = 8 entries
• ExploreNOW Annual Subscription with print = 10 entries
• Purchase-free: 1 entry
e. Any attempt or suspected attempt to submit more than one (1) Initial Entry and/or obtain additional participation than permitted by using multiple email addresses or a pen name, or any use of robotic, automatic, macro, programmed, AI or any other like entry methods not authorized by these rules may be deemed as tampering and will void all of said Entries.
f. You may opt-out of eligibility at any time by emailing [email protected] and indicate you’d like to “opt-out of the Black Feather Sweepstakes.”
g. Must have an active subscription at December 31, 2026 or have submitted a complete no-purchase entry to be eligible.
4. Winner Selection
a. On or before March 1, 2027, at 11:00 am PST, two (2) eligible entrants will be randomly selected by an EOM employee, as the potential winners of the prizes, as described.
b. The potential winners will be contacted by an employee within five (5) business days of the draw by phone and/or email (the method selected at Sweepstakes Sponsor’s sole discretion), as provided by the entrants in his or her Sweepstakes entry form. The Sweepstakes Sponsors are not responsible for false, incorrect, changed, incomplete or illegible contact information. Notification is deemed to have occurred immediately upon sending of an email or placing a phone call.
c. The potential Prize winner(s) has five (5) business days after being contacted to reply.
d. The potential Prize winners if found to be ineligible, declines to accept the Prize or is unable to be contacted (including failing to return phone calls or emails) within five (5) business days of the draw may be required to forfeit the Prize and another eligible entrant may be selected at Sweepstakes Sponsors’ sole discretion.
e. By entering, you give permission for your first name (given name) and province to be publicly announced upon winning.
5. The prize
a. May not be exchanged for cash, currency, (other) gift card or credit no expressly indicated.
b. Descriptions as follow:
• Two (2) individual winners will be awarded a choice of ANY trip Black Feather offers, in Canada, in 2027. Subject to availability. Airfare and additional expenses not explicitly covered by the trip are not included. No exchanges, deferrals or substitutions permitted.

6. Deadline for claiming the prize
a. Following confirmation as the Prize winner, in accordance with the Sweepstakes Rules, the selected entrant needs to fill in a form and return by either fax or email to confirm their shipping address. The potential Prize winner who fails either to inform the Sweepstakes Sponsors of his/her inability to claim the Prize before the deadline, as instructed, may be required to forfeit the Prize and another eligible entrant may be selected at Sweepstakes Sponsors’ sole discretion.
6a. Conditions for claiming the prize
The selected winner may be required to correctly demonstrate completion of a skill testing question in order to claim the prize.
7. Odds of winning
a. The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
8. No Representations or Warranties
a. The prize winners understand and acknowledge that he or she will not seek reimbursement or pursue any legal or equitable remedy from the Sweepstakes Sponsors if the prize is in any way unsatisfactory to the winners.
9. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMERS
a. BY ENTERING THE SWEEPSTAKES, ENTRANTS AGREE TO BE BOUND BY OFFICIAL RULES, AND AGREE TO RELEASE The Client , EXPLORE MAGAZINE AND EOM, EACH OF THEIR EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND REPRESENTATIVES, SUBSIDIARIES, AFFILIATED COMPANIES, CONTROLLED CORPORATIONS, ADVERTISING OR PROMOTION AGENCIES, SPONSORS, SUPPLIERS OF MATERIALS, PRIZES AND SERVICES RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES, OR ANY OTHER PERSON DIRECTLY ASSOCIATED WITH THE HOLDING OF THE SWEEPSTAKES (“RELEASED PARTIES”) FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY WHATSOEVER, FOR LOSSES OR DAMAGES OF ANY KIND THAT RESULT FROM ACCEPTANCE, POSSESSION OR USE OF ANY PRIZE OR FROM THE ENTRY OR THE ATTEMPTED ENTRY IN THE SWEEPSTAKES. THE RELEASED PARTIES ASSUME NO LIABILITY FOR LOST OR MISDIRECTED ENTRIES, WHETHER DUE TO TECHNICAL OR COMPUTER MALFUNCTIONS OR OTHERWISE OR ANY OTHER TECHNICAL OR COMPUTER MALFUNCTIONS, FRAUD, OR OTHER ERRORS.
b. The Client RESERVES THE RIGHT, IN ITS SOLE DISCRETION TO CANCEL, TERMINATE OR SUSPEND THE SWEEPSTAKES IN ITS ENTIRETY, IN THE EVENT THAT THE WEBSITE IS INFECTED BY A VIRUS, A SOFTWARE BUG, THE WEBSITE IS HACKED, UNAUTHORIZED HUMAN INTERVENTION OCCURS OR THE INTEGRITY, ADMINISTRATION, IMPARTIALITY OR NORMAL OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS COMPROMISED IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER.
c. NONE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION WILL EVER BE SHARED, RENTED, SOLD OR OTHERWISE RELEASED TO ANY THIRD PARTY BY The Client THIS SWEEPSTAKES IS IN NO WAY SPONSORED, ENDORSED OR ADMINISTERED BY, OR ASSOCIATED WITH META OR GOOGLE. THE SWEEPSTAKES HOST HEREBY RELEASES META OR ANY OTHER THIRD PARTY OF ANY LIABILITY.
10. GENERAL
a. Entrants, by entering the Sweepstakes, agree to abide by the Official Rules, and agree that the decisions of The Client are final and without appeal with respect to all aspects of the Sweepstakes including, without limitation, the eligibility and/or the disqualification of Entries.
b. All Entries are subject to audit by The Client. Any Entry that is incomplete, fraudulent, copied, received late, discriminatory, defamatory, offensive, obscene, vulgar or against good morals or prejudicial to The Client., its subsidiaries, affiliated companies, parent corporations, its employees, agents, representatives, directors and officers, its advertising and promotion agencies or any other person related in any manner whatsoever to The Client will automatically be rejected and will not be eligible for the Prize.
c. The Client is not responsible for any changes or effects caused by or to the Entrant’s computer system as a result of submitting electronic Entries.
d. All Entries are the property of The Client No responsibility will be taken for Entries lost, delayed, incomplete, damaged, stolen, undelivered or misdirected, all of which are void, or that cannot be processed due to phone, network, electronic, or computer hardware or software failure, or technical failures of any kind.
e. By entering this Sweepstakes, Entrants agree to release, discharge and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all liability for any injury, loss or damage of any kind to persons, including death, and property, whether direct or indirect, which may be due or arise out of participation in the Sweepstakes or any portion thereof, or the acceptance, use/misuse or possession of prizes, or any prize-related travel or activity.
f. Any prize is non-exchangeable, non-transferable, non-refundable, has no cash-surrender value, and must be accepted as awarded with no substitutions. The Client reserves the right, in their sole discretion, to substitute and/or modify any prize with (a) prize(s) of equal or greater value for any reason.
g. Subject to applicable law The Client reserves the right to terminate or withdraw this Sweepstakes at any time, for any reason whatsoever. No ExploreNOW subscription refunds will be given if this occurs.
h. This Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, provincial and municipal laws and regulation.
i. If any provision in the Official Rules herein is found by a court of competent jurisdiction to be illegal, unenforceable or void, then such provision will be null and void however all other provisions herein shall remain valid and enforceable to the full extent permitted by law.
11. PERSONAL INFORMATION
a. When entering the Sweepstakes, the Entrant agrees that his or her personal information collected by The Client shall be used in accordance with applicable law in order for The Client or its agents to contact the Entrants for the purposes of the Sweepstakes. In compliance with the Personal Data Protection Legislation in force, Entrants expressly consent the incorporation of their Personal Information into The Client database and its treatment for the purposes hereof. The Client has adopted the technical and organizational measures necessary to ensure the security of Personal Information and to prevent their alteration, loss, unauthorized processing or access. At any time you may revoke your consent and exercise your rights of objection, access, rectification and cancellation by addressing our Compliance Officer.
b. By entering you consent to allow Explore Magazine/EOM to contact you via email. You may opt out of these emails at any time.
c. You may obtain any information about the Sweepstakes such as the name of the Winner, or raise complaints with [email protected].
d. Provision of personal data to The Client : If an Entrant selects clicks “LEARN MORE ABOUT TRIPS & RECEIVE UPDATES FROM BLACK FEATHER” (or reasonably similar message) in your Subscription Confirmation Email (sent upon subscription or renewal to Explore Magazine), the entrant agrees to receive electronic messages from The Client containing information and offers with respect to products and services that may be of interest to them, including notification of sales, special events and store promotions. Entrants may opt out of these emails at any time.
