The Compelling Story of Artist Cory Trépanier’s Journey to Explore and Paint Canada’s Western Arctic
Caledon, Ontario: On Thursday, February 26th, for one night only, art and nature-lovers alike can see the beauty of Canada’s North on the big screen for just $15. Into the Arctic will be playing at the Empire Theatre in Bolton, Ontario in support of Family Transition Place. Guests are also invited to a reception after the screening for coffee and dessert.
Into the Arctic takes viewers on a dramatic journey as oil painter Cory Trépanier begins the first leg of his multi-year quest to explore and paint the expansive beauty of the Canadian Arctic. As Cory and his family embark on a two and a half month trek across Canada, they witness the majestic power of the wilderness. With only a tent to call home, they battle challenging weather and encounter remarkable wildlife while Cory lays paint to canvas, trying to capture a breathtaking landscape of canyons and vast skies.
This artistic and adventurous film allows viewers to experience an often inaccessible part of our planet. With original, stimulating cinematography, Into the Arctic is not to be missed. This presentation of Into the Arctic is part of a new film series called “Movie Reels,” presented by the Bolton Merchant Association.
