Everglades Tour

We launch from shore near Marco Island, Everglades City or Chokoloskee Island and paddle the 10,000 Islands, Everglades National Park and the Wilderness Waterway. Tours can be a “loop” trip where we return to the same launch site or a “one way” trip where we launch at one location and are picked up at another. However the trip is routed, we use our fleet of powerboats to re-supply and routinely check on our guests during the tours. Your safety is our first concern.

Itinerary

We are fortunate to live and work in this wonderful wilderness all year round. We have the most experience of any local operator. We normally don’t have “canned” routes and itineraries. These experiences are led by Florida Master Naturalists and are very much an interpretive, educational experience. The trip is always tailored to the dynamics and interests of the group, but we also must consider the group’s experience, skills, health, size, local weather, tidal and water conditions. Rarely will we do the same thing twice. We will send each traveller a questionnaire to be completed and a detailed “personal item checklist” to help us all properly prepare.

Meals

Everglades Area Tours completely outfits your trip. An important part of any good camping trip is good hearty meals. Prepared by your guide, fresh each time, the meals make your trip complete. We will get your input as part of the planning process so that we can tailor the meals to your desires and needs.

Feb 3, 2015:

  • Return to Everglades base camp — tour finishes at approximately 3:00 p.m.
  • Private coach to RSW Airport for your return flight to Toronto Pearson
  • Depart RSW
