It’s in Gaspésie National Park where you’ll find Quebec’s highest Appalachian peaks, the only caribou herd south of the St. Lawrence River, numerous moose, exotic arctic-alpine flora and spectacular scenery in every direction. The park’s vast trail network offers more than 140 kilometres of beginner to expert trails for hikes of 30 minutes up to 10 days. Pick your own route to explore dense forests, traverse alpine tundra and summit barren peaks. The naturally curious can find out more about the park’s geology and life cycles during interpretive activities led by park wardens. The park offers a slew of lodging options, including campsites, huts, vacation cabins and the Gîte du Mont-Albert hotel.
