Tips to make carrying easier and keep your gear dry

We recommend packing in the following compartments:

Top: Camp shoes, extra socks, tarp, first-aid kit, rain jacket, camera

Middle: Cook set, food, stove, fuel, tent

Bottom: Sleeping bag, clothes

Pack your gear in a number of compression dry bags, each a separate colour to help keep things organized (e.g., clothes in red, sleeping bag in blue). Compressing them saves room and the items keep dry in the bags.

Pack your food in its own bag so that smells (and spills) are kept separate from the rest of the gear.

Pack the tent fly in its own bag so that when it’s wet, your other stuff stays dry.
