Aava Whistler. This is where the guests of Big Mountain Biking stay. Great service and solid rates for the village, sometimes as low as $100 per night. (aavawhistlerhotel.com)
Hostelling International — Whistler. One of the few hostels you’ll find a private room for less than a Borden. (hihostels.ca)
Nita Lake Lodge. Sitting on the edge of Nita Lake, but still within walking distance of lifts and shops; it’s a good compromise between escape and action. (nitalakelodge.com)

Best Accommodation
Storm Mountain Lodge. Halfway between Banff and Lake Louise, these cozy and historic cabins are made even better by the sumptuous food in its antique-filled restaurant. (stormmountainlodge.com)
Paint Box Lodge. Run by Olympians Sara Renner and Thomas Grandi, it’s pricy but highly recommended. (paintboxlodge.com)
Hostelling International — Lake Louise Alpine Centre. This is the best budget accommodation in the valley and a great place to rub shoulders with world-class climbers. (hihostels.ca)
Alpine Club of Canada Canmore Clubhouse. Another budget friendly option, just outside of Canmore, with a range of rooms and cabins. (alpineclubofcanada.ca)
