KEEN Launches Give-With-Purchase Program to Support CPAWS
This spring, KEEN Canada Outdoor will partner with CPAWS – Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society – to support Canada’s parks and protected areas through a give-with-purchase program at participating retail locations.
“KEEN’s commitment to protecting the places we play has been a pillar of our company from day one,” says Chris Enlow, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager at KEEN. “We know KEEN retailers and fans are just as passionate about this and our Give With Purchase program is a perfect way for us to make a positive difference in local communities.”
KEEN will donate $5 for every pair of KEEN.CNX shoes sold at participating retailers, up to $25,000 to CPAWS. Key retailers will host the program for a pre-determined four-week period from May 1st to June 15th. Many of the retailers have made the additional commitment to match KEEN’s $5 donation to support the local CPAWS chapter in their area.
CPAWS, a non-profit organization whose vision is to keep at least half of Canada’s public land and water wild forever, will use the donations from KEEN and its retailers to support and protect large and connected areas of Canada’s Wilderness.
“This is a perfect partnership for nature,” said Eric Hebert-Daly, CPAWS National Executive Director. “CPAWS places high value on connecting Canadians to wilderness – on reinforcing the intrinsic benefits of getting outside and enjoying nature. KEEN is a manufacturer of footwear and clothing specifically designed to meet the needs of outdoor enthusiasts that shares our values. We are thrilled that KEEN is joining us in helping to keep our parks healthy for all future generations of Canadians to enjoy,” adds Hebert-Daly.
