MEC Paddlefest 2015 — oceans waves, sand and a cool breeze
MEC Vancouver is hosting its annual Paddlefest at the Jericho Sailing Centre on July 4th. Building upon the success of year’s past, Festival Director Demelza Adams has put together a variety of great hands-on skills clinics, top brands, and of course the legendary deals at the MEC Paddleswap. Bring your friends and family, and come celebrate the fun of floating.
The events team at MEC Vancouver would like to thank Jericho Sailing Centre Association for supporting this event and helping us connect our community with their outdoor pursuits. Jericho Beach is the perfect location and is the place to be on July 4th. Another special thanks goes to the instructors from Deep Cove and Kayak, Eco Marine, MEC and SKILS.
Growth in this year festival in evident in the variety of water based clinics being offer by MEC and its sponsors. Demelza Adams states- “it is a lot of work but so rewarding to get others on the water.” MEC Paddlefest is proud to partner with industry leading watersport brands as well as community organizations.
There will be lots to learn and see at this year’s Paddlefest especially with the presence of Delorme Inreach and Garmin. The perfect complement to those looking to extend their trips or adventures by using the tools required.
