Meet Explorers Scott Forsyth and David Newland in Alberta & BC

Join two Canadian explorers on their western tour

From November 24th to December 8th, Western Canadians can join Canadian Geographic photographer-in-residence Scott Forsyth and musician David Newland on tour to connect through images, stories and songs.

These Canadian explorers draw inspiration from Canada’s majestic landscape and history. Forsyth recently published a coffee-table book titled The Wild Coasts of Canada. Newland released a new CD titled Northbound: The Northwest Passage in Story and Song.

“David’s songs make emotional connections to the people and places I photograph,” says Forsyth. “That gives us the opportunity to convey a deeper relationship, beyond the beauty of a landscape.”

“Scott’s book is such a treat for the eyes,” says Newland. “But it’s not just photography. It’s the sense of being there to witness and then come home with stories.”
