Ontario Tourism calendar makes a good stocking stuffer
Ontario Tourism’s 2012 calendar is out and it looks fantastic. I’m even in a couple of shots (dog sledding in Algonquin and kayaking on the Abitibi River). Never thought I’d be a calendar boy!
Ontario Outdoors Calendar is more than a nice calendar to put in someone’s stocking this Christmas though. It contains information on next year’s on-line contest. In 2011 it was 7 days with me in Ottawa and the Ottawa Valley. In 2012 its 7 days on Lake Superior’s north shore with hosts Darren and Michelle McChristie (Superior Outdoors Magazine). The prize is valued at $27,000 and includes cool things like a Subaru Outback for the week, 4 x $1,000 MEC gift cards and 4 x $1000 Henry’s gift cards, scenic ride on the Agawa Canyon Tour Train, a number of top accommodations along the North Shore, a helicopter ride over Lake Superior’s rugged coastline, a sailing excursion, kayaking and a day at Fort William. Wow!
The calendar is also on-line this year and includes stories behind the monthly photos and a number of monthly adventure bloggers (including me).
