Ski review: Blizzard Bushwacker

If you're an east coast intermediate skier, this would be a great ski for you. Its easy flex is perfect for a mellow day of cruising. Even in modest powder, this ski performs very nicely.

Why this ski is perfect for intermediate skiers

Tested: Blizzard Ski (125-88-110)

Best for: Strong intermediate and mellow skiers

If you’re an east coast intermediate skier, this would be a great ski for you. Its easy flex is perfect for a mellow day of cruising. Even in modest powder, this ski performs very nicely. Try to crank it up, though, and advanced skiers may find the Bushwacker doesn’t have enough pop or spunk. Also, for western skiers, on deep days, the Bushwacker’s 88mm waist wallows while some of the fatter alternatives in the test storm through the powder. On the skin track, this ski was light and agile but again, on those days when you’re breaking trail through powder, you may wish for a larger ski. In short, if you’re an intermediate skier more into cruising chopped powder, bumps and groomers, with the occasional foray into the sidecountry, this could be a good option for you.
