The Happy Camper: 2019, a year in review

The Happy Camper looks back on 2019 and shares some of his favourite memories, moments and adventures with us.

Wow! I’m so blessed. Another amazing year of spending time in the wilderness and sharing some of the knowledge I’ve gained over the years through my college classes, workshops, articles and social media.

I presented at countless outdoor shows and symposiums, chatted with some amazing people, slept in the snow, battled blackflies, caught and cooked fresh brook trout, paddled across central Ontario, had friendly banter with my good canoe mates Andy and Speedo Man, laughed and smiled with my partner Kristine, visited Lake Superior, celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving at Algonquin’s Barron Canyon, paddled the Kawartha Highlands, interviewed a bunch of amazing people for my Whisky Fireside Chats and gave a few outdoor tips along the way.

I can’t wait to see what 2020 brings.
