It’s outdoor show season. My first, of many, was the Toronto Outdoor Adventure Show this past weekend. Great show. Not too many dried meat and tube sock stands. Lots of outdoorsy destinations and new camp gadgets.

I presented on my Spey River trip and my top canoe-trip destinations in Ontario. My 82-year-old Scottish mother even showed up on my Sunday presentation and told the audience that I missed going to church with her before the show, and then gave everyone a royal wave.
