Think Camping Season is Over? Think Again!
September might mean pumpkin spice lattes and donning autumn attire for some, but for explorers based in Ontario, there are a few more weeks of camping season to enjoy.
This year, Ontario Parks has opted to extend the opening dates of six parks that typically close this time of year.
Why?
The bugs are thinning, the leaves are changing and the campfires are crackling across the province. Fall offers some of the best camping conditions in Canada.
Pitch a tent on sites at Bass Lake Provincial Park, Mikisew Provincial Park and Rushing River Provincial Park until October 15th. Presqu’ile Provincial Park, Balsam Lake Provincial Park and Sandbanks Provincial Park will be open until October 21st, 2019.
When possible, book in advance to avoid missing out on your fall camping trip. For a full list of operating dates in Ontario Parks, click here.
