Tuesday’s Facebook newsfeed: a beautiful collection of thanks
I couldn’t let the day and the memories of thanksgiving turkey (or was it chicken?), way too much apple crisp (I can’t do the pumpkin pie thing—sorry mom!) and the love and laughs with family and friends pass by without writing one quick blog.
I wanted to give a quick shout out to all of my Facebook friends whose images of ‘Thankful’ filled up my newsfeed this morning. After a brief hiatus from the computer this weekend, I was greeted this morning with the most beautiful collection of fall images. Friends from all over Canada (and beyond) posted photographs of their reasons to give thanks. I was thrilled at the number of breathtaking fall photos that danced across my screen and proud at the gratitude being expressed for our great outdoors.
I’d like to share, perhaps the most spectacular of the fall images I viewed today. My good friend and photographer, Mike Last posted pictures from his recent trip to Algonquin. Check them out HERE.
I would also like to take the chance to express my own little bit of thanks. Although I didn’t have a camera by my side this weekend to capture any of the images of I was graced with, I know those that I’ve captured in my memory are irreplaceable. I’m thankful for the family and friends (new and old!) that I shared their time with me this weekend. I’m thankful for the opportunities to adventure and explore I am continually presented with. And I’m thankful for the beauty that seems to always find its way into my life, one way or another.
