Whistler Blackcomb is celebrating a snowy spring by extending the skiing and snowboarding season on Whistler Mountain until Sunday, June 7.

The extension will allow skiers and snowboarders to enjoy three extra weeks of great late season spring skiing on Whistler Mountain.

“The spring has delivered some fantastic skiing and snowboarding,” says Doug Macfarlane, Director of Mountain Operations at Whistler Blackcomb. “Temperatures have stayed relatively cool in the alpine and the 69cm of snow that fell in April has left the terrain in great shape, prompting us to extend the season for our guests to enjoy.”

The season extension will include expected lift operations at the Whistler Village Gondola, Emerald Express, Franz’s Chair, Peak Express and the T Bars. Terrain Park riders will be able to continue to enjoy the soft spring snow in the Nintendo Terrain Park on Whistler thanks to the hard work of the Whistler Terrain Parks Crew. All lift operations, open terrain and Terrain Park operations will be dependent on weather and snow conditions.
