The Best Trails Paired With Cocktails From Yellowstone Bourbon

A Sustainable Partnership With Trans Canada Trail

Beyond its recreational appeal, Trans Canada Trail serves as a unifying force, connecting Canadians to nature and each other. With the support of donors and partners, the trail aims to foster community, collaboration and a sense of belonging nationwide.

In pursuit of this goal, Yellowstone Bourbon has proudly partnered with Trans Canada Trail. Yellowstone’s dedication to conservation in Canada aligns with their long-standing relationship with the National Parks Conservation Association in the United States. By bringing their values of sustainability and environmental stewardship to Canada, they aim to connect people with parks and nature across the country. Yellowstone’s $40,000 contribution to Trans Canada Trail will directly impact this mission through the continued building, maintenance and stewardship of the trail.

As an enthusiast of both bourbon and the outdoors, I was thrilled to learn about Yellowstone’s partnership with Trans Canada Trail. In celebration of this collaboration, my mom and I embarked on an adventure along a segment of the trail.

A Perfect Adventure

With the plan of hiking a portion of the trail and rewarding ourselves with a Yellowstone cocktail to follow, we made our way to the trailhead with smiles glued to our faces.

Our Trans Canada Trail journey began in Hamilton, Ontario, where we were greeted with an air of vibrancy: families with children laughing and exploring, avid cyclists whizzing past with determination, groups of runners sharing tropes of motivation and students using the trail as a route to and from school, their chatter echoing through the trees.

As we journeyed farther from the city, the sights and sounds of urban life gave way to the stillness of the forest—where trickling rivers meandered through lush groves, wildflowers danced in the breeze, and elusive wildlife darted through the underbrush.

In those quiet moments, the essence of Trans Canada Trail revealed itself. It’s more than just a pathway; it’s a community—a place where individuals from all walks of life come together to create lasting memories and embrace the spirit of the outdoors.

Cocktails to Cap off the Experience

After the adventure, we returned home for a thirst-quenching refreshment. With Yellowstone Bourbon, we crafted delicious cocktails to celebrate our hike.

Gathered with our family, each returning from their own outdoor escapades, we sat around the campfire and dove into the task of mixing ingredients and concocting the perfect cocktail.
