Hiking Boot Company KEEN Donates 100,000 Shoes

Here's our feel-good news article for the week.

Family-owned KEEN has been one of our favourite hiking boot brands for years. Specializing in waterproof, well-built boots, KEEN creates quality, lasting gear.

Now, we have another reason to love KEEN. To help the adventure community during the COVID-19 pandemic, KEEN launched an initiative that invited individuals to “nominate” others to receive a free pair of shoes.

Through this program, called Together We Can Help, fans have helped KEEN giveaway approximately $10,000,000 worth of shoes to people in need.

“In the face of what may be our generation’s greatest challenge, the Together We Can Help initiative was created to enable people to take positive action and build connection in a time of increasing isolation.  Enabling people to ‘pay it forward’ by providing someone in their community with a free pair of shoes has helped build connection at a time of great need,” said Erik Burbank, KEEN Global GM Outdoor, Lifestyle, Kids.

Hard-working nurses, grocery store clerks and families trying to keep up with their kids received a new pair of KEEN shoes. The program is now closed.
